Terms of Use
1. Introduction
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of hudsonautobids.com (the "Site") and any purchase you make through it. By using the Site, creating an account, placing a bid, or completing a purchase, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised date. Continued use of the Site after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
2. Who We Are
Hudson Auto Bids LLC is a Missouri limited liability company and a vehicle dealer. We are located at 5708 Freedom Dr, Columbia, MO 65202.
We are the seller. We purchase repossessed and off-lease vehicles, boats, and equipment directly from banks, lenders, and fleet operators, and we sell them to buyers through auctions and Buy Now listings on this Site.
This is not a peer-to-peer marketplace. You are not buying from another user. Every lot listed on the Site is owned by Hudson Auto Bids at the time of sale, and every transaction is between you and us.
3. Eligibility, Accounts, and Verification
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a binding contract.
To bid or purchase, you must create an account and complete identity verification. We verify buyer identity to prevent fraud and identity theft and to meet the legal requirements applicable to vehicle sales. Information collected during verification is used only for that purpose and is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We do not sell or share it for marketing.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@hudsonautobids.com if you suspect unauthorized use.
We may suspend or close an account that provides false information, fails verification, or violates these Terms.
4. Listings and Vehicle Information
Each listing includes photographs, a condition report supplied by the source lender or fleet operator, and available documentation.
We make reasonable efforts to describe each lot accurately and to disclose visible imperfections in the listing. However:
All vehicles are sold used, and used vehicles carry ordinary wear and mechanical variability.
Mileage, specifications, and condition details are provided in good faith based on supplier documentation and our own inspection.
Photographs are representative but may not capture every cosmetic flaw.
We encourage every buyer to inspect a vehicle before bidding (see Section 8).
We reserve the right to correct errors in a listing, withdraw a lot from sale, or cancel an auction at any time before a sale is finalized.
5. Auction Rules and Bidding
Bids are binding. When you place a bid or select Buy Now, you are making a firm offer to purchase the lot at that price. If your offer is accepted or your bid wins, you are committed to complete the purchase, subject to your rights under Section 10 (Returns).
Additional terms:
Bids must meet or exceed the current bid plus the listed bid increment.
We may set a reserve price. If the reserve is not met, we are not obligated to sell.
Buy Now, where offered, ends the auction immediately at the listed price.
We do not charge buyer's premium or proxy fees. Your winning bid is your purchase price, before delivery charges beyond the included mileage.
We reserve the right to reject any bid, cancel a bid placed in error, or refuse a sale where we reasonably suspect fraud or misuse of the Site.
Review the full listing, photographs, and documentation before you bid.
6. Payment
Payment is currently made by bank wire transfer. We expect to add further payment methods; available options will be shown at checkout.
After a sale is confirmed, we send an invoice by email containing payment instructions and a reference number. Include the reference number so your payment is matched to your order.
If you do not receive your invoice, check your spam folder and then contact us at sales@hudsonautobids.com. We will resend it.
If payment is not completed within the timeframe stated on your invoice, contact us. We would rather work with you on timing than cancel a sale. We reserve the right to cancel a sale and relist the lot where payment is not completed and the buyer does not respond to reasonable attempts to reach them.
We will never ask you to send payment to an account other than the one stated on your official invoice. If you receive payment instructions from any other source, do not act on them — contact us immediately.
7. Title and Ownership
Ownership documentation, including the vehicle title, is provided to you at the time you take delivery of the vehicle. The title is handed over with the vehicle; it is not sent separately afterward.
Every lot is sold with a verified title. Title and risk of loss pass to you upon delivery and acceptance.
You are responsible for registering and titling the vehicle in your state, and for any registration fees or taxes assessed at that time (see Section 11).
8. Delivery
Delivery is arranged after payment clears, through insured, licensed transport carriers.
Delivery is available to all 48 contiguous United States.
The first 1,000 miles are included at no charge. Beyond 1,000 miles, a flat fee of $1.00 per mile applies, regardless of vehicle size or type.
All vehicles are fully insured during transport.
Transport typically begins within 48–72 hours of payment clearing. Estimated delivery time is up to 14 days, depending on destination and logistics conditions.
Delivery timeframes are estimates, not guarantees. We are not liable for delays caused by weather, carrier scheduling, road conditions, or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
9. Limited Warranty
Vehicles purchased through Hudson Auto Bids include a 6-Month / 10,000-Mile Limited Warranty, whichever occurs first, beginning on the date you take possession of the vehicle.
What is not covered:
Interior or exterior cosmetic imperfections
Normal wear-and-tear items
Recommended or routine maintenance
Aftermarket accessories
Damage resulting from misuse, modification, racing, off-road use, neglect, or failure to perform required maintenance
Visible imperfections are disclosed in the listing where available.
This is a Limited Warranty. It gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.
Extended coverage of up to 5 years may be available for purchase. Terms of any extended coverage are set out in the separate contract provided at the time of purchase.
To make a claim, contact us at sales@hudsonautobids.com with your order reference and a description of the issue.
10. Returns — 14-Day Reject or Refund
You may return a vehicle within 14 days of delivery.
The vehicle may be driven up to 1,000 test miles during this period.
We pay the cost of return shipping.
Approved refunds are processed within 48–72 hours of the returned vehicle being received and verified.
Returns are not accepted where the vehicle has been:
Damaged after delivery
Modified or altered from its delivered condition
Used as collateral for a loan
Driven beyond 1,000 miles since delivery
To start a return, contact us at sales@hudsonautobids.com within the 14-day window. We will arrange collection.
11. Taxes and Registration
We do not collect sales or use tax at the point of sale.
Sales tax, use tax, registration fees, and titling fees are assessed by the state in which you register the vehicle, and are payable by you at the time of registration. Rates and requirements vary by state.
You are solely responsible for determining and satisfying your tax and registration obligations. We recommend consulting your state's Department of Revenue or Department of Motor Vehicles.
12. Geographic Availability
The Site and our services are intended for buyers located in the United States. We deliver to the 48 contiguous states. We do not currently sell or deliver outside the United States. If you access the Site from outside the U.S., you do so on your own initiative, and you are responsible for compliance with local law.
13. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
Use the Site for any unlawful purpose, or in violation of these Terms
Place bids you do not intend to honor
Interfere with or manipulate the bidding process
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Site, other accounts, or our systems
Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools to access the Site or place bids
Introduce malware, viruses, or any other harmful code
Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your identity
Reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from Site content without permission
Copy or resell listings, photographs, or condition reports
We may suspend or terminate access for any violation, and pursue legal remedies where appropriate.
14. Intellectual Property
The Site and all content on it — including text, graphics, logos, photographs, condition reports, listing descriptions, software, and design — are owned by Hudson Auto Bids LLC or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Site for the purpose of browsing listings and making purchases. This license does not include any right to copy, resell, scrape, or exploit any part of the Site.
15. Disclaimers
Except for the Limited Warranty in Section 10 and the return right in Section 11, all vehicles are sold as-is.
The Site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties not expressly stated in these Terms, including implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, except where such disclaimer is prohibited by applicable law.
We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
16. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, and except in cases of fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, or death or personal injury caused by our negligence:
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, or loss of use.
Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to a purchase shall not exceed the purchase price you paid for the vehicle giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under the Limited Warranty in Section 10, the return right in Section 11, or applicable consumer protection law.
17. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Hudson Auto Bids LLC, its members, officers, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the Site, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.
18. General
Before filing any formal claim, you agree to contact us at support@hudsonautobids.com and give us 30 days to resolve the matter informally. Most issues are resolved this way.
19. Governing Law and Venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or a purchase shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Boone County, Missouri, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
20. General
Severability. If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force.
No waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
Entire agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any purchase documents provided to you, constitute the entire agreement between you and Hudson Auto Bids regarding the Site and your purchase.
Assignment. You may not assign these Terms. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
Force majeure. We are not liable for failure to perform due to causes beyond our reasonable control.
