Mercedes-Benz brought a coupe to the S-Class line-up for the first time since the 1990s with the launch of the C217 for 2015, and it was joined by a convertible version, known as A217, the following year. Both were designed with an eye on comfort and luxury and they offered a relatively spacious interior with four seats. Mercedes-Benz discontinued the coupe and convertible versions of the S-Class after the 2021 model year and has indicated it won’t bring them back anytime soon.
